The Hagen family

The starting shot for Stossberg Quality Horses was fired in 1987 with the purchase of the Stossberg 1 property in Haldenwang. Georg and Monika Hagen were looking forward to their new home with their 4 own Quarter Horses and two boarding horses. The hobby breeding brought magnificent foals – the first imported horses followed already in 1990 – the dream became reality.

Three small children, the development of the Paint and Quarter Horse breeding, the training and successful showing of our horses, in addition to the development of the riding school required years of hard work, stamina, family cohesion, breeding skills and reliability… always with the goal in mind – to become an exceptional Paint Horse breeding farm and Western training stable.

Georg Hagen, who has been working nights at the AZ publishing house for 35 years, supports his “girls” with advice and assistance in his spare time!

Monika Hagen, Pferdewirtschaftsmeisterin Zucht- and Haltung/Westernreiten with distinction and APHA Professionel Horsewoman, is the operations manager of SQ-Horses, responsible for the breeding operation and sales stable, personnel management, the riding school and the organization of all operational activities.
